Siły przeciwników zostały rozstawione w przeciwległych ćwiartkach stołu. Niemcy okopali się blisko krawędzi strefy wystawienia, na obydwu Znacznikach Celów. Brytyjczycy rozmieścili baterię Priestów oraz piechotę daleko w swojej strefie rozstawienia, w lesie, natomiast wykorzystali umiejętność Spearhead w celu poruszenia swoich Stuartów na sąsiednią ćwiartkę,po drugiej stronie rzeki – i znaleźli się ponad siłami niemieckimi. Następnie rozmieścili swoje Shermany wokół Stuartów. Do rezerwy wysłali oddział Achillesów (M10), HQ oraz jeden oddział Shermanów.  Niemcy do rezerwy wysłali Tygrysy oraz pluton Pum.



The opposing forces deployed diagonally within their zones. Germans dug in close to the quarter
borders, on both Objective Markers. Britons deployed the Priest Battery and the infantry deep into
the defensive positions in the forest, but used Spearhead ability of their Stuarts to cross the river and
moved towards the quarter above the German quarter. Later they deployed Shermans around the
Stuarts. Britons sent Achilles Platoon, HQ and one Tank Sherman Troop to the reserve, Germans sent Tigers and Puma platoon to the reserves.

Pancer zaczął i szybko przejechał czołgami za las, niezbyt odległy od pozycji niemieckich. Z uwagi na zasadę Meeting Engagement, jego artyleria nie wykonała ostrzału.


Pancer went first and rushed all his tanks behind the forest near to the German positions. Due to the
Meeting Engagement rules, his artillery remained idle.


Niemcy z dużą prędkości zaczęli przerzucać pluton samobieżnych 7.5 cm dział przez rzekę, uciekając od brytyjskich czołgów i przesuwając się w stronę niebronionego Znacznika Celu. Wespe i 8cm
moździerze wstrzelały się w pozycje piechoty (odpowiednio za trzecim i drugim razem) i udało im się zabić jedną drużynę piechoty oraz wbić bail na Prieście.


Germans rushed their 7.5 cm Gun Platoon across the river, falling back from the British tanks and
trying to the objective which was not secured by any of the British defenders. The Wespe and 8 cm
Mortars managed to range in (respectively at 3rd and 2nd attempt) on the British defenders in the
forest and managed to bail out one of the Priests and kill one infantry team.


W swojej drugiej turze, Brytyjczycy próbowali wykonać rozkaz Blitz wszystkimi trzema plutonami
czołgów – udał się tylko jednemu. Jeden z oddziałów Shermanów przesunął się na krawędź stołu, by
uzyskać pozycję strzelecką wobec Wespe i transporterów opancerzonych jednego z plutonów
piechoty, Stuarty i drugi oddział Shermanów wycelowały działa w stronę samobieżnych 7.5 cm dział.
Pluton piechoty odpinował się, ale pozostał na tej samej pozycji, załodze Priesta nie udał się remount.


In the second turn, British attempted to Blitz on all three tank Platoons, failing two out of three. One
Sherman Troop moved towards the board edge to take position against the Wespes and the Panzer
Grenadier Transports. Stuarts and other Sherman Troop aimed their guns at the self-propelled 7.5
guns. The Infantry platoon managed to unpin but did not move, the bailed Priest did not manage to
remount.


Artyleria brytyjska wstrzelała się w niemiecką piechotę, ale nie udało jej się zabić żadnej jednostki.
Shermany strzelające do Wespe i transporterów opancerzonych także chybiły (nic dziwnego, strzał na
dalekim dystansie, do ukrytego celu, po ruchu i po nieudanym Blitz). Stuartom udało się zbailować
jedno z samobieżnych 7.5 cm dział SdKfz, więc ostatni oddział Shermanów wypalił ze wszystkich dział, niszcząc dwa oraz bailując ostatnie z dział 7.5 cm.


British artillery managed to range in on the German infantry (covering 8 cm mortars and transports as well) in the central position but failed to kill any teams. Shermans shooting at the Wespes and
Transport teams also missed (3 long range shots after failed Blitz, no wonder). Stuarts managed to
bail only one of the 7.5 SdKfz, so the last Shermans shot with all their guns and managed to destroy
two and bail the last remaining 7.5 Gun.


Na szczęście dla Niemców, obu 7.5 cm SdKfz 251 udał się remount, i popędziły w stronę Znacznika
Celu. Wszystkie transport zostały odesłane na tyły, i po chwili wahania, Niemcy postanowili nie
poruszać dalej żadnych jednostek. Moździerze i Wespe kontynuowały ciężki ostrzał okopanej w lesie
piechoty – i zaczęły w końcu skutecznie „obierać” ją z okopów – straty wyniosły 5 jednostek.
PaKi 40 strzeliły w Stuarty, niszcząc jednego i bailując drugiego.


Luckily for the Germans, both 7.5 cm SdKfz 251 managed to remount and rushed towards the
objective. Germans sent all their Transports to the rear and after a while of hesitation, decided not to
move, despite the fact that the British artillery was already ranged in. Mortars and Wespes kept
pounding the infantry dug in the forest, and started to peel them off – killing 5 in the process. Pak 40
shot at the Stuarts, destroying one and bailing out a second one.

Brytyjczykom nie udało się wezwać rezerw. Zbailowanemu Stuartowi nie udał się remount, ale oddział zdał Last Stand na 5+. Oddział Shermanów, mimo niezdania Blitza, postanowił popędzić z powrotem w stronę Znacznika Celu i zniszczyć 7.5 cm SdKfz. Drugi oddział Shermanów oraz Stuart pozostały nieruchome. Priestowi udał się remount, natomiast plutonowi piechoty nie udało się odpinnować – co okazało się kluczowe dla wyniku bitwy.


British did not manage to call in the reserves. The bailed out Stuart failed to remount, but passed the
5+ Last Stand test. One of the Sherman troops failed the Blitz again but started to rush back towards
the objective and aimed at the 7.5 cm SdKfz’s. The other Sherman troop and the Stuart remained
stationary. The Priest managed to remount, but the infantry platoon failed to unpin this time, which
turned out to be crucial for the result.


Pancer kontynuował ostrzał artyleryjski okopanej piechoty i 8 cm moździerzy w centrum niemieckich pozycji – udało mu się wyeliminować kilka podstawek piechoty, ale zbyt mało, by miało to jakikolwiek wpływ na wynik gry. Również jeden z opancerzonych moździerzy został trafiony – ale udało mu się rzucić save. Zarówno oba oddziały Shermanów, jak i Stuarty nie trafiły w nic – w szczególności brak trafień na oddziale samobieżnych 7.5 cm SdKfz 251 okazał się być istotny.


Pancer decided to continue the artillery bombardment on the dug in infantry and the 8 cm Mortars in
the middle of the German position, killing some of the dug in infantry, but not enough to have any
effect on the game. One of the armored Mortars was hit, but managed to roll the save. Both Sherman
troops failed to hit anything (especially the lack of hits on SdKfz 251 gun platoon was important), so
did the Stuarts.


Istotny, ponieważ na początku kolejnej tury okazało się, iż SdKfz 251 kontrolują Znacznik Celu
niekontestowane, co doprowadziło do zwycięstwa Niemców. W tym momencie Brytyjczycy się
poddali.


It turned out that the two SdKfz 251 guns started the German turn on the objective, which led to the
German victory. At this point, the British conceded the game.

Tym razem opis starcia Marcinsa z Panzerem

Pojedynek miał miejsce 15.11.2019 r. (LW 100p.) Naprzeciwko siebie stanęły dwie armie brytyjskie. Wylosowanym scenariuszem był rearguard, gdzie Marcin się bronił, a Marek atakował.

Marcin ukrył w zasadzce pluton dział 6 pdr. Rozstawienie po rozegranej pierwszej turze ukazuje fotografia:

 Marek bardzo odważnie ruszył na swoją prawą flankę prawie całymi siłami, korzystając z rozkazów Blitz powoli zbliżał się do jednostek Marcina ostrzeliwując je bez sukcesów ze względu na bardzo trudne trafianie, czasami pogarszane przez nieudane rzuty na Blitz i zasadę no HE na niektórych czołgach. Na drugiej spokojniejszej flance Priesty wstrzelały się w piechotę będącą intencjonalnym celem ataku Marka. Marcinowi zaś udało się spinować moździerzami pluton piechoty, który do końca gry nie zdał morale aby się odpinować.               

  

W swojej drugiej turze, Marcin wycofał pluton Daimlerów, gdzie zostały 2 z 3, gdyż Marek ostrzeliwał je plutonem Shermanów. Pojawiły się działa 6 pdr w lesie, dzięki czemu miały one jeden z plutonów Shermanów na bliskim zasięgu, bez zasłony. Pozostałe czołgi ustawiły się tak, by możliwie najwięcej z nich mogło strzelić do Shermanów, które wjechały na górkę. Tura zakończyła się zniszczeniem 2 z 3 Shermanów w obu plutonach, a następnie w 3 turze Marka Shermany te oblały testy na last stand – dwa plutony wyeliminowane.

W swojej 3 turze Marek podjechał bliżej Stuartami i plutonem Shermanów, nieco z tyłu zostało HQ i M10. Ostrzał Marka przyniówsł w efekcie jedno zniszczone działo 6 pdr. Piechota została spinowana z Priestów. Marcin w 3 turze odpinował piechotę, usunął pluton moździerzy zgodnie z zasadami scenariusza. Ustawił się Amerykańskimi Shermanami tak, by móc strzelać do Stuartów, M10 korzystając z zasady Blitz przesunęły się, aby widzieć pluton Shermanów, który skrywał się w polu zboża. Ostrzał zakończył się zniszczeniem 2 stuartów i 1 Shermana, 2 pozostałe zostały zbeilowane. 4 tura Marka  przyniosła niezdany test na last stand na Stuartach, Shermany nie odbailowały się, lecz zostały na stole. W tym momencie formacje trzymało jedynie HQ i 2 zbeilowane Shermany. Marek w swojej kolejce zabił Marcinowi jednego Amerykańskiego Shermana, drugiego zbeilował. Ostrzał artyleryjski, mimo że pod szablonem było dużo modeli, nie trafił nikogo prócz plutonu HQ, który się wybronił. Marcin w 4 turze wycofał HQ, podszedł kilkoma podstawkami do zbeilowanych czołgów trzymających formacje w celu ataku. Ostrzał skupił na OP Shermanie, żeby uniknąć ewentualnego defensive fire. US Shermany odpłaciły się M10 beilując jednego z nich. W fazie Assaultu piechota automatycznie zniszczyła 2 zbeilowane czołgi i OP Shermana, ponieważ nie było nikogo, kto byłby operatywny, lub mógłby ochronić je ogniem obronnym. Swoją 5 turę Marek rozpoczął z jednym tylko plutonem formacji, czyli HQ co automatycznie skończyło grę zwycięstwem Marcina 8:1. Marcin stracił ostatecznie jednego Shermana, jedno działo i Daimlera Dingo. Marka zgubiło parcie do ataku na otwartym polu, prosto pod ogień przeciwpancerny. Może warto byłoby poczekać, aż Marcin wycofa więcej plutonów?

Pojedynek miał miejsce na warszawskim turnieju 13.10.2019 r. (LW 100p.) podczas pierwszej rundy naprzeciwko siebie stanęła armie brytyjska i niemiecka. Wylosowanym scenariuszem był Counterattack, gdzie w wyniku losowania Marcin się bronił, a Darek atakował.

Marcin wystawił na stół: moździerze (4szt), 2 plutony piechoty, Carriery, churchille i 6pdr (w ambushu). Korzystając z zasady Spearhead miał wystarczająco miejsca, aby dogodnie schować swoje jednostki za nasypem i w lesie, w tym momencie od objectiva, który był poza jego macierzystą strefą wystawienia, dzieliło go jedynie 16 cali, co dawało pewność, że potencjalny wyścig do tego miejsca wygra dogodnie się tam okopując. Darek korzystając z przywileju rozpoczęcia gry, ustawił swoje jednostki tak, aby chyżo ruszyć nimi do przodu. Niestety teren mocno go ograniczał, miał do dyspozycji jeden most nad rzeką, która zamykała jego strefę rozstawienia wraz z nasypem kolejowym. Skutecznie blokowało to nie tylko ruch, co i widoczność.

Rozstawienie ukazuje fotografia:

Artyleria Dariusza mocno karała piechotę broniącą się w lesie z churchillami, działa nie miały praktycznie żadnej widoczności, to też nie odegrały żadnej roli w tej grze. Brytyjczykom udało się zatrzymać piechotę wroga pinując ją w ostrzale artyleryjskim, jednak jednostki opancerzone dojechały na skraj nasypu przy lesie. Do objectiva należało przejechać przez nasyp i las po drodze pokonując dzielną piechotę i churchille. Cały czas jednak w ambushu czaiły się działa 6pdr, a z rezerw obrońcy nadciągały posiłki w postaci M10/17 pdr i Shermanów (76mm). Próby pokonania nasypu i piechoty skończyły się dużymi stratami poniesionymi przez niemieckie jednostki za sprawą obronnego ognia prowadzonego z churchilli. Turę później po pojawieniu się ambusha na tyłach i podjechaniu bliżej nadciągających już wcześniej rezerw, zasadnicze uderzenie zostało rozbite, a przeciwnik nie miał żadnych perspektyw na wygraną. Bitwa zakończyła się zwycięstwem Marcina 8:1, gdzie poniesioną stratą były moździerze, które uciekły odnosząc straty w bombardowaniu wroga. Niemcy straciły wszystkie pojazdy pancerne, oraz pluton piechoty.

The opposing forces deployed diagonally within their zones, Germans closer to the quarter borders, Britons deep into the defensive positions. Britons sent Achilles Platoon, Priest Battery and one Infantry Platoon to the reserve, Germans sent Tigers and AA platoon.

Lires won the roll-off for going first and chose not to do anything.

Germans started with moving one infantry platoon to each side, attempting a pincer move on the British wings. Left (western) wing platoon hid behind a hill, while the right (eastern) wing platoon moved at the double (Blitz + Follow Me orders) to cross a stream dividing two halfs of the battlefield, and hid in the orchard. Nebelwerfers managed to range in on the 25pdr battery, but only pinned it down.

In return, 25 pdrs started to “peel off” German artillery, killing one Nebelwerfer and pinning both 8 cm mortars too.

Both German artillery units failed to unpin, so the infantry moved forward uncovered. The platoon on the left wing failed Blitz so it rushed to the wheat field and shot at the 25 pdr battery, with little effect. It also tried to use cover of smokescreen laid by the 8 cm mortars, protecting it from 6 pdr fire. The platoon on the right wing reached houses on the southern side of the village next to the British positions, but had no clear shot.

In the third British turn, M10 (Achilles) platoon arrived and shot at the left-wing German infantry platoon, inflicting first casualties. 6 pdr guns and 25 pdr battery (direct fire) joined in, rest of the artillery kept pounding German guns (and keeping them pinned).

Having failed to call for reinforcement, Germans pushed forward with infantry only. The western wing platoon, crossed the river and assaulted the 25 pdr battery far in the north in a suicide charge, losing one to defensive fire but managing to reach the target. The eastern wing platoon entered three buildings on both southern and northern side of the village, leaving one too close to the British foxholes unoccupied. The western platoon lost some teams to the defensive fire but killed one of the 25 pdr guns but was unable to catch any further in a sweeping advance.

The stoic British were unimpressed. They called in another platoon of reinforcements (Priest battery) and started preparing an assault on the village. They did not pin the Germans down so decided not to charge yet. They also finished off the brave platoon leader (passed Last Stand twice) of the western platoon.

Tigers managed to enter the field but were able only to kill one infantry team from distance. Infantry in the village shot at the British infantry, managing to fail all 12 5+ shots. Nebelwerfers and Mortars either failed to range in or to do any damage to 25 pdr battery again.

The British infantry, supported by 6 pdrs assaulted the platoon occupying northern part of the village and, losing only two teams defensive fire and managing to push the Germans behind the southern line of buildings. At the western flank, M10s moved out to the side of the German positions and destroyed 1 Nebelwerfer in direct fire. Nebelwerfers failed the Last Stand and fled. Artillery also destroyed one of the PaKs, dug in in the central German position in a forest.

Germans pushed to the counter-attack in the village. Supported by Tigers and newly arrived 7/1 AA Guns, they managed to recapture the southern side of the village, killing some British infantry in process. The remaining platoon in the middle of the battlefield moved back to protect the objective and dug in.

This, however, led to exposure of the Tigers to Achilles fire. In an incredible shot, he scored 3 hits and destroyed two Tigers. Brits also managed to destroy 8 cm Mortar and – for sport – assaulted again at the infantry in the village, this time losing the assault and falling back to the northern side of the village.

At this point, Germans conceded the game.

Pojedynek miał miejsce na warszawskim turnieju 13.10.2019 r. (LW 100p.) Podczas drugiej rundy naprzeciwko siebie stanęły dwie armie brytyjskie. Wylosowanym scenariuszem był Breakthrough, gdzie Piotr się bronił, a Marcin atakował.

The duel took place at the Warsaw tournament on 13.10.2019. (LW 100p.) During the second round two British armies were facing each other. The winning scenario was Breakthrough, where Piotr defended and Marcin attacked.

Co działo się później, łatwo się domyślić. Piotrowe M10 pojawiły się w zasadzce  i w zasadzie zniszczyły M10 Marcina, Do momentu wyjścia rezerw atakującego, piechota, carriery i moździerze odciągały połowę stołu, od zajmowania dogodniejszych pozycji do obrony objectiwów. Ostateczniepo kilku turach z wystawionych pierwotnie przez Marcina jednostek przeżył tylko 1 carrier, w tym czasie dwa plutony Piotrowej piechoty zdołały dojść do objectiwa, ale nie udało mu się tam okopać. Wtedy do akcji wkroczyły rezerwy (5 tura atakującego).

What happened next is easy to guess. Peter's M10 was ambushed and basically destroyed Martin's M10. Until the attacker's reserves were released, infantry, carriers and mortars pulled half the table away, from taking more convenient positions to defend objects. Eventually, after a few rounds of units originally exhibited by Martin survived only 1 carrier, at that time two platoons of Peter's infantry managed to reach the objectivity, but he did not manage to dig there. Then the reserves entered the action (5th round of attacking).

Pierwszy z rezerw wyszedł pluton Shermanów(76mm), udało im się odepchnąć piechotę. Przeciwnik w swojej turze mógł jedynie próbować odepchnąć shermany od objectiva, jednak atak na czołgi nie powiódł się. 6 tura atakującego włączyła do walki Churchille z rezerw, od tyłu piechotę zajechał również ocalały carrier, objective trzymało jedynie kilka nieokopanych podstawek piechoty. Marcin miał 3 możliwości assaultu (shermany, carrier, churchille), wcześniej jednak udało się wszystkie podstawki piechoty w 4” od objectivu zniszczyć zmasowanym ostrzałem. Zwycięstwo 6:3 dla Marcina.

The first of the reserves was the Sherman's platoon (76mm), they managed to push the infantry away. The opponent in his turn could only try to push the Shermans away from the objectiva, but the attack on the tanks failed. 6th turn of attacker included Churchille in the fight from reserves, from the back the infantry arrived also the surviving carrier, objective was holding only a few unencumbered infantry bases. Marcin had 3 possibilities of assault (shermans, carrier, churchille), but earlier he managed to destroy all 4" infantry bases from objectivu with massive fire. Victory 6:3 for Marcin.

Pancer kontra twhistoria

No i Rafał się uaktywnił. po niemal rocznej przerwie w aktywności turniejowej wołanej pracą podwinął rękawy i ruszył w bój. Pojawił się na Jesiennym Turnieju Flames of War gdzie zajął 6 miejsce. Gry rozgrywane na tym turnieju zostały jednocześnie zaliczone do Warszawskiej Ligi FOW.

W jednym z pojedynków starły się nasze armie - Brytyjczycy Rafała i moi Rosjanie. W tej sytuacji format i rodzaj gry jest oczywisty - Flames of War Late War 100 pkt.

And then Rafał became active. After an almost one-year break in the tournament activity caused by  his work, he rolled up his sleeves and went into battle. He appeared at the Flames of War Autumn Tournament where he took 6th place. Games played in this tournament were simultaneously included in the Warsaw FOW League.

In one of the duels our armies - the British Rafał and my Russians - fought each other. In this situation the format and type of the game is obvious - Flames of War Late War 100 points.

Zagraliśmy misję Encounter. U mnie do rezerw poszły KW, Valentynki, BA-10 i pluton T-34, a u Pancera M-10c, pluton Shermanów i HQ.

Gra była zażarta, trup słał się gęsto. Ostatecznie Pancer złamał moja formację siedemnastofuntówki wygrały pojedynek ogniowy z moimi osiemdziesiątkami piatkami. :-(

We played the Encounter mission. In my case KW, Valentine's Day, BA-10 and T-34 platoon went to the reserves, and in Pancer's case M-10c, Sherman's and HQ platoon went to the reserves.

The game was fierce, the corpse was dense. Finally, Pancer broke my formation of seventeen pounds and won a fire duel with my eighty-fives. :-(

The result was 7:2 for Pancer.
